Ellen Hagan is a writer, a performer, and an educator. She is the author of six books, including her current poetry collection, Blooming Fiascoes, and her upcoming Young Adult novel in verse, Don’t Call Me a Hurricane, forthcoming from Bloomsbury in July 2022. She received a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship in poetry in 2020 and has received grants from the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance and the Kentucky Foundation for Women.
